Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Farid Belkahia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Doha in October 2014. In the Contemporary Art / Doha auction, the work Hand (Main) sold for USD 87,500.00 (€ 69,832.40) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Farid Belkahia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jerusalem, which sold at auction in March 2020 for GBP 200,000.00 (€ 225,840.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Farid Belkahia erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Doha einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art / Doha wurde die Arbeit Hand (Main) für USD 87.500,00 (€ 69.832,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Farid Belkahia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jerusalem beobachtet, die im März 2020 für GBP 200.000,00 (€ 225.840,96) versteigert wurde.
