Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Unknown by Fei Chengwu was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 778.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fei Chengwu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chinese Patience in May 2010 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,110.03).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Unknown von Fei Chengwu wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 778,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fei Chengwu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chinese Patience im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.110,03).
