Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Irish Art, which included the work Pink Abstract by Felim Egan. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,378.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Felim Egan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Foreland, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,361.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Abstract von Felim Egan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.378,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Felim Egan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Foreland beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.361,17) versteigert wurde.
