In September 2020 Christies in Zurich (Online) held the auction Swiss Art Online Sale, which included the work Caesar, Socrates, Jesus, Nero by Félix Vallotton. The result of CHF 1,500.00 (€ 1,393.11) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of CHF 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Félix Vallotton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cinq heures in October this year with an auction result of GBP 3,670,000.00 (€ 4,214,179.60).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2020 führte Christies in Zürich (Online) die Auktion Swiss Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Caesar, Socrates, Jesus, Nero von Félix Vallotton zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von CHF 1.500,00 (€ 1.393,11) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CHF 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Félix Vallotton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cinq heures im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.670.000,00 (€ 4.214.179,60).
