The work Composition à l'oiseau - 1953 by Fernand Léger was sold in the Modern Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in April this year. It achieved a price of EUR 24,928.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernand Léger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contraste de formes in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 70,062,500.00 (€ 58,885,947.22).

Die Arbeit Composition à l'oiseau - 1953 von Fernand Léger wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 24.928,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernand Léger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contraste de formes im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.062.500,00 (€ 58.885.947,22).
