Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fernando Botero could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Femme Au Lit changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 35,504.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fernando Botero konnte im November 2015 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Femme Au Lit für USD 37.500,00 (€ 35.504,64) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
