Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.032.500,00 (€ 884.747,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 29%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernando Botero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
