Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A busy market, The Hague by Floris Arntzenius was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2001. The price achieved of EUR 6,462.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,500.00 – 7,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Floris Arntzenius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work De Spuistraat met gezicht naar het Plein, The Hague in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 421,272.00 (€ 202,196.66).
