This artwork by Fotis Kontoglou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in May 2021. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Jésus sold for EUR 14,025.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fotis Kontoglou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Refugees or The Valley of Lamentation in March 2021 with an auction result of EUR 252,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fotis Kontoglou erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Jésus für EUR 14.025,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fotis Kontoglou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Refugees or The Valley of Lamentation im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 252.000,00.
