Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Fashion, New York, c. 1950 by Frances McLaughlin-Gill was sold in the Fashion Photo auction at Christies in New York in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,224.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Frances McLaughlin-Gill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bettina (Graziani), Vogue, 1950 in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 7,800.00 (€ 6,502.71).

Die Arbeit Untitled Fashion, New York, c. 1950 von Frances McLaughlin-Gill wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Fashion Photo bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.224,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frances McLaughlin-Gill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bettina (Graziani), Vogue, 1950 im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.800,00 (€ 6.502,71).
