Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers In An Urn by Francesco Mantovano was sold in the Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini auction at Christies in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,608.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Mantovano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carnations, lilies, narcissi, convolvulus and other flowers in a sculpted urn on a stone ledge; and Tulips, roses, carnations and convolvulus in a sculpted urn on a stone ledge in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,676.11).

Die Arbeit Flowers In An Urn von Francesco Mantovano wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Discovering Old Masters: The Legacy of Piero Corsini bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.608,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Mantovano erzielen.
