Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Linda Evangelista by Francesco Scavullo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. The price achieved of USD 1,063.00 (€ 1,006.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Scavullo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Janis Joplin, 1969 in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 21,204.54).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Linda Evangelista von Francesco Scavullo kam im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.063,00 (€ 1.006,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Scavullo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Janis Joplin, 1969 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 21.204,54).
