The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,600.00 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Valaperta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Who loves me most?, which sold at auction in April 2011 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,854.01).
