In October 2017 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Francis Giacobetti Photographs, which included the work Grace Jones, Paris Studio - 1975 by Francis Giacobetti. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,750.00 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Francis Giacobetti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zebra 17, Paris Studio - 1998 in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 42,900.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen

Im Oktober 2017 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Francis Giacobetti Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grace Jones, Paris Studio - 1975 von Francis Giacobetti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.750,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francis Giacobetti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zebra 17, Paris Studio - 1998 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.900,00.
