Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 5,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francis Giacobetti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zebra 17, Paris Studio - 1998 in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 42,900.00.

Die Arbeit Hymn Fidel Castro von Francis Giacobetti wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Francis Giacobetti Photographs bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
