Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Francis Giacobetti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in October 2017. In the Francis Giacobetti Photographs auction, the work Zebra 03, Paris Studio - 2000 sold for EUR 15,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Giacobetti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zebra 17, Paris Studio - 1998, which sold at auction in October 2017 for EUR 42,900.00.

In der Auktion Francis Giacobetti Photographs wurde die Arbeit Zebra 03, Paris Studio - 2000 für EUR 15.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francis Giacobetti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zebra 17, Paris Studio - 1998 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für EUR 42.900,00 versteigert wurde.
