Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maintenant et autrefois by Francis Picabia was sold in the 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale auction at Christies in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 390,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Picabia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pavonia in March last year with an auction result of EUR 9,996,700.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maintenant et autrefois von Francis Picabia wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 390.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Picabia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pavonia im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.996.700,00.
