Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Dolientes by Francisco Dosamantes for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,727.06). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Dosamantes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Desnudo Peinándose, which sold at auction in November 2005 for USD 24,000.00 (€ 20,356.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dolientes von Francisco Dosamantes für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.727,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Dosamantes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Desnudo Peinándose beobachtet, die im November 2005 für USD 24.000,00 (€ 20.356,23) versteigert wurde.
