Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Dos Formas by Francisco Matto was sold in the Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,356.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Matto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constructivo en rojo y azul in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Dos Formas von Francisco Matto wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.356,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Matto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constructivo en rojo y azul im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27).
