Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Conejo Con Alacranes by Francisco Toledo. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,568.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Toledo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Meu Xubi in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,040,000.00 (€ 943,824.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Conejo Con Alacranes von Francisco Toledo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.568,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Toledo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Meu Xubi im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.040.000,00 (€ 943.824,30).
