Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mujer sentada con rebozo Orante by Francisco Zúñiga was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2010. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,000.00 (€ 26,848.73), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Zúñiga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grupo de cuatro mujeres de pie in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 3,127,500.00 (€ 2,783,463.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mujer sentada con rebozo Orante von Francisco Zúñiga wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 26.848,73) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Zúñiga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grupo de cuatro mujeres de pie im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.127.500,00 (€ 2.783.463,87).
