Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Franco Barberis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2011. In the The Ski Sale auction, the work Klosters sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,489.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Franco Barberis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Berner Oberland sold at auction in January 2014 with the realized price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,569.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Franco Barberis erzielte im Januar 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ski Sale wurde die Arbeit Klosters für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.489,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Franco Barberis; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Berner Oberland im Januar 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.569,44).
