The work La città by Franco Rognoni was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2000. The price achieved of ITL 4,112,500.00 (€ 3,527.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as ITL 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00. Other works by Franco Rognoni have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2000 the work Di notte was auctioned for ITL 5,640,000.00 (€ 5,189.79).
