Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A stroll in the park by François Claudius Compte-Calix was sold in the European Noble and Private Collections auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2007. The price achieved of EUR 6,850.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Claudius Compte-Calix - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le rêve d'amour brisé, which sold at auction in June 2004 for EUR 14,100.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.850,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von François Claudius Compte-Calix mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le rêve d'amour brisé beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für EUR 14.100,00 versteigert wurde.
