In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work French an Elite Soldier Of The Imperial Guard by François Flameng. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,284.01) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by François Flameng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fête vénitienne in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French an Elite Soldier Of The Imperial Guard von François Flameng zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.284,01) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Flameng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fête vénitienne im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
