Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deux Éléphants De Meryll Andirons - 2000 by François-Xavier Lalanne was auctioned at Artcurial in Monte-Carlo in July last year. The price achieved of EUR 355,420.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Xavier Lalanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 in October this year with an auction result of EUR 18,335,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Deux Éléphants De Meryll Andirons - 2000 von François-Xavier Lalanne kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Monte-Carlo zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 355.420,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François-Xavier Lalanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.335.000,00.
