Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bond Street, London by Frank Ernest Beresford was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in June 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25.00 – 200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 58.75 (€ 93.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Ernest Beresford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A corner of the Dutch Room: Lady Alma-Tadema's studio in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,095.58).
