Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Durham Cathedral from the banks of the Wear by Frank Wasley for GBP 750.00 (€ 948.30). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Frank Wasley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St. Paul's from the South Bank in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,446.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Durham Cathedral from the banks of the Wear von Frank Wasley für GBP 750,00 (€ 948,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Wasley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St. Paul's from the South Bank im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.446,83).
