Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A fishing boat, Venice by Frank Wasley. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 805.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Wasley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St. Paul's from the South Bank in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,446.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A fishing boat, Venice von Frank Wasley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 687,50 (€ 805,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Wasley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St. Paul's from the South Bank im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.446,83).
