Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Slate Mines, Wales by Fred Uhlman. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,652.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Uhlman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portmerion Bay, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,583.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Slate Mines, Wales von Fred Uhlman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.652,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Uhlman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portmerion Bay beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.583,24) versteigert wurde.
