Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fredericus Jacobus van Rossum du Chattel could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Dutch Early Morning changed hands for EUR 2,500.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by Fredericus Jacobus van Rossum du Chattel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Late summer dawn in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 46,808.00 (€ 22,466.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fredericus Jacobus van Rossum du Chattel konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Dutch Early Morning für EUR 2.500,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.500,00 – 4.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fredericus Jacobus van Rossum du Chattel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Late summer dawn im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 46.808,00 (€ 22.466,30).
