Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Austrian bauer Aus Zell Am See (Farmer From Zell Am See) by Friedrich Gauermann was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2011. The price achieved of GBP 3,375.00 (€ 3,859.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Friedrich Gauermann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheep and a horse on a sunny afternoon in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 29,050.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Austrian bauer Aus Zell Am See (Farmer From Zell Am See) von Friedrich Gauermann kam im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.375,00 (€ 3.859,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Friedrich Gauermann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheep and a horse on a sunny afternoon im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.050,00.
