The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,679.81), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gao Yong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Script Calligraphy in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,633.50).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Gao Yong wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion Saturday at Sotheby's: Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.679,81) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Yong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.633,50).
