Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Ravi'S Ring by Gary Webb. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 968.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gary Webb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Double Bubble in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,705.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ravi'S Ring von Gary Webb zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 968,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gary Webb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Double Bubble im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.705,02).
