Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Summer Landscape by Gavril Pavlovich Kondratenko was auctioned at Christies in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,652.60). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gavril Pavlovich Kondratenko achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Driving the wagons in a Crimean landscape in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 135,124.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Summer Landscape von Gavril Pavlovich Kondratenko im Juni 2021 bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.652,60) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gavril Pavlovich Kondratenko erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Driving the wagons in a Crimean landscape im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 135.124,97).
