Auction result misses estimated price range

In February 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Cottages on a wooded track by George Augustus Williams for GBP 352.50 (€ 552.28). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Augustus Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Snowball Fight in April 2005 with an auction result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,288.64).

Im Februar 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cottages on a wooded track von George Augustus Williams für GBP 352,50 (€ 552,28) erwerben.
