The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,972.20), 65% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Barret the Younger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Solitude: An Italianate Landscape With A Figure Reclining Beneath Trees, which sold at auction in July 2017 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,695.08).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.972,20) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von George Barret the Younger mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Solitude: An Italianate Landscape With A Figure Reclining Beneath Trees beobachtet, die im Juli 2017 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.695,08) versteigert wurde.
