In the American Paintings auction, the work Still Life with Grapes, Plums and Apple sold for USD 7,050.00 (€ 7,386.07) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Forster have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Fruit and Nest of Eggs in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 61,955.34).
