Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Herbst by George Grosz was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 35,840.00 (€ 32,856.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Grosz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gefährliche Straße in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 9,740,250.00 (€ 11,288,971.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Herbst von George Grosz wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.840,00 (€ 32.856,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Grosz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gefährliche Straße im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.740.250,00 (€ 11.288.971,84).
