Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Howard could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British Art on Paper auction, the work Portrait Of Nellie Lindsay, Half-Length changed hands for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,561.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Howard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bordighera in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 9,987.50 (€ 16,591.22).
