Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 799.00 (€ 1,254.38). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Knight - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heading Out To The Fishing Grounds (Illustrated); And Returning With The Day'S Catch, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,781.80).
