In December 2018 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Winter Sale, which included the work "Abraham Grill, the Younger" (1707-1763) by Georg Desmarées. The result of SEK 60,000.00 (€ 5,902.58) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georg Desmarées - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a red velvet mantle, wearing a wig, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,809.50).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2018 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Important Winter Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Abraham Grill, the Younger" (1707-1763) von Georg Desmarées zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 60.000,00 (€ 5.902,58) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georg Desmarées mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a red velvet mantle, wearing a wig beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.809,50) versteigert wurde.
