Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Saint Jerome In The Wilderness by Gerard de la Vallée for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,577.86). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Gerard de la Vallée have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2008 by the work An Allegory Of Spring at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,374.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Saint Jerome In The Wilderness von Gerard de la Vallée für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.577,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
