Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work St. Gimignano by Germ de Jong for EUR 1,875.00. This price was achieved in the auction A European Corporate Collection at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Germ de Jong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stilleven Met Rooie Lap - A Still Life With Flowers And A Red Cloth in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 32,900.00 (€ 15,813.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit St. Gimignano von Germ de Jong für EUR 1.875,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A European Corporate Collection bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Germ de Jong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stilleven Met Rooie Lap - A Still Life With Flowers And A Red Cloth im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 32.900,00 (€ 15.813,28).
