Upper estimate price exceeded by 39 %.
The work L'Hydre by Germaine Richier was sold in the Art Contemporain Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Paris in December 2020. It achieved a price of EUR 277,200.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Germaine Richier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Tauromachie in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 3,086,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit L'Hydre von Germaine Richier wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Art Contemporain Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 277.200,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Germaine Richier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Tauromachie im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.086.400,00.
