Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Arthur & Charlotte Vershbow, which included the work An Allegory of Life, or The Dream of Raphael (Bartsch 67; Lewis 28) by Giorgio Ghisi. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,803.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Ghisi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory Of Life ('The Dream Of Raphael') (B. 67; Lewis 28) in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,546.23).

Im April 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Arthur & Charlotte Vershbow durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Allegory of Life, or The Dream of Raphael (Bartsch 67; Lewis 28) von Giorgio Ghisi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.803,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Ghisi erzielen.
