Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Peasant And A Spinner With Dead Game by Giacomo Francesco Cipper was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,378.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Francesco Cipper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interno Di Cucina Con Vecchio E Vecchia, Un Giovane Che Suona Il Violino E Una Ragazza Alla Finestra (I Cinque Sensi) in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 117,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Peasant And A Spinner With Dead Game von Giacomo Francesco Cipper im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.378,75) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Francesco Cipper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interno Di Cucina Con Vecchio E Vecchia, Un Giovane Che Suona Il Violino E Una Ragazza Alla Finestra (I Cinque Sensi) im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 117.600,00.
