In October 2016 Christies in London held the auction The Italian Sale, which included the work E se prendessimo trenta pittori... (What if we Take Thirty Painters...) by Gianfranco Baruchello. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 68,750.00 (€ 76,589.58), 38% above the upper estimate. With this result, E se prendessimo trenta pittori... (What if we Take Thirty Painters...) is even the most expensive work of art by Gianfranco Baruchello that we have observed at auctions so far.
