Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Ecce Homo by Giovanni Battista Caracciolo. The price achieved of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,653.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Caracciolo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Calling Of Saint Matthew in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 538,000.00 (€ 496,676.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ecce Homo von Giovanni Battista Caracciolo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.653,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Caracciolo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Calling Of Saint Matthew im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 538.000,00 (€ 496.676,51).
