Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,512.66). Admittedly, works by Giovanni Battista Langetti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Joseph Interpreting The Baker'S Dream in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 98,500.00 (€ 71,819.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Fortune Teller von Giovanni Battista Langetti kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.512,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Langetti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Joseph Interpreting The Baker'S Dream im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 71.819,18).
